Plain version: you are buying the right to run GRM on one computer for one year. You may use it on anything you like, including paid client work. You may not resell it or pass the key on. If it breaks we will fix it or refund you.
GRM ("the Software") is published and licensed by NKT Studios ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Software you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are entitled to bind it.
A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the Software on the number of machines your key covers, for the period your key covers — normally one machine for one year from the date of issue. A team key covers the number of seats purchased.
The licence is to use the Software. Ownership of the Software, and of everything in it, stays with NKT Studios.
These terms cover GRM, the paid product. Hivecode — the relay, the VS Code
extension, the MCP server and icr-merge — is published under the MIT
licence and its own licence file governs it. You may read it, run it, fork it, self-host
the relay and use it commercially, on MIT terms, with or without a GRM licence.
What is sold alongside it is the hosted service: rooms we run for you, and the team features on top of them. That is a service subscription, cancellable, and it does not change your rights to the MIT code.
A key found published anywhere public will be revoked. If that key was yours, that is the end of that licence and no refund is due.
The download includes a trial that runs for seven days from the first time you run it — not from the date you downloaded it. It is the complete product with nothing held back. No card, no account, no sign-up. When it lapses, the Software stops serving memory; it does not delete anything, and everything it built is still on your disk and returns the moment a licence is in place.
Laptops die and get replaced. Email support@getgrm.tech with the identifier from the new machine and we will re-issue the same licence for it at no charge. This is meant for replacing a machine, not for running one licence on several at once.
Licences do not auto-renew and there is no stored card and no subscription. When a year is up, the licence lapses unless you choose to buy another. We will email you before that happens.
Updates released during your licence period are included. Support is by email at support@getgrm.tech. We answer as a small studio answers — quickly and by a person — but we do not offer a contractual response time unless one has been agreed in writing.
The Software is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will recall any particular thing, or that it will suit a particular purpose. It is a memory aid for a coding agent, and the output of a coding agent remains your responsibility to review.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, business interruption or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You may stop using the Software at any time; delete it and the licence ends. We may end the licence if these terms are materially breached — most obviously if a key is published or resold. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete it. Your memory file remains yours.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are buying as a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms you accepted when you bought your licence continue to govern that licence for its term.
