GRM collects nothing and transmits nothing. Hivecode is a shared workspace and therefore does send your files to the room you join — section 4 says exactly what and to where, because the two products must not be described with one sentence. This page exists mainly to describe the small amount of information we do hold — which arrives only because you emailed us or bought a licence — and what happens to it.
GRM is published by NKT Studios. Questions about anything on this page go to support@getgrm.tech, and a person reads them.
GRM runs entirely on your computer. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no licence phone-home and no update check. It opens no network connection of its own — the binary has no HTTPS stack in it at all, which is why updates work by you downloading a file yourself rather than the program fetching one.
Concretely, none of the following ever leaves your machine as a result of running GRM:
The machine identifier. A licence is tied to one computer, so the product derives a short fingerprint of that computer locally. It is derived on your machine and stays there. It is transmitted only if you choose to send it to us — by running the identifier command and pasting the line into an email — because we cannot issue a key without it. It is a one-way fingerprint: it identifies that the same machine is asking again, and it cannot be turned back into your hostname, your serial number or your identity.
Everything above describes GRM. Hivecode is a live shared workspace, so it necessarily sends data over a network — describing both products with the same sentence would be untrue, so we do not.
When you join a Hivecode room, the contents of the files in that room are sent to the relay you point the client at, and from there to the other people and agents in that room. That is what a shared room is. Concretely:
If you use our hosted relay, that data passes through servers we operate. We do not read it, sell it or train on it, and we do not want it — but it passes through, and you should assume operational logs exist as they do for any server.
If that is not acceptable for a codebase, run the relay yourself. Hivecode is MIT licensed and the relay is in the repository; pointed at your own host, nothing leaves your network. This is the main reason it is published under a permissive licence.
GRM is unaffected either way. Installing Hivecode does not make GRM send anything, and the two do not share a network path.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any other company — no fonts, no tag managers, no embedded players, no tracking pixels. Nothing here follows you anywhere.
There is exactly one script on the site, written inline in the page so you can read it by viewing source rather than taking our word for it. It draws the moving background and does nothing else: it makes no network request, stores nothing, sets no identifier, and records nothing about you — not your cursor, not your scrolling, not your visit. If you have "reduce motion" turned on it draws a single still frame and stops. If JavaScript is off, the page works exactly as it does now, minus the background.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, the page requested, timestamp, browser user-agent) for a limited period, as any web host does, in order to serve the site and defend it from abuse. We do not analyse those logs, combine them with anything else, or use them to identify visitors.
Mail sent to support@getgrm.tech is delivered through Hostinger, our email
provider. We keep the message and your address so we can reply and so we can find the
conversation again if you write back later. Nothing is added to a mailing list. We do
not send marketing email.
To issue and later verify a key, we record:
This record is what lets us re-issue your key when you replace a laptop, and confirm a licence is genuinely yours if someone else presents it. It is kept for as long as the licence is live plus a reasonable period afterwards, and it is not sold, rented or shared.
Payments. Card and bank details are handled entirely by the payment provider — Razorpay or Payoneer depending on where you are. They never reach us. We see that a payment succeeded, for how much, and from whom; we never see your card number.
Write to support@getgrm.tech and you can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will act within 30 days. Deleting a licence record ends our ability to re-issue that key, so we will say so before doing it.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under the GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or a comparable law. Those rights apply and the same address reaches us.
This is a developer tool sold to adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly hold data about them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects anyone who has bought a licence, we will email them rather than rely on them re-reading this page.
